INVITATION: Nuclear Weapons and the Moral Compass – April 9, 2015

Dear Friend,

It is an honor to be working with the Holy See to host a program at the United Nations on April 9, 2015, co-sponsored by United Religions Initiative, Religions for Peace, and the World Evangelical Alliance, to which you are hereby invited. Please note the flyer below for information on registering.

We consider the statement advancing the thoughts of H.H. Pope Francis on nuclear weapons to be of historical significance and believe that it skillfully sets a moral compass that all the world’s nations should follow. Please read it here.

We are honored by the quality of the speakers who will present as well as Michael Fitzpatrick, the world-renowned cellist, who will play a special composition for the event.

Nuclear weapons continue to threaten us all. This event at the United Nations and the remarks of the dynamic speakers from various faith traditions will be substantive and inspiring.

The moral compass approach to this critical issue is vibrant and will be increasingly influential. It is time that all the world’s faith traditions work effectively together to end the threat. It is time that we all work together and we hope you can join us.
